VISA AND TRAVEL

PRIOR TO TRAVELING

All visitors to Kuwait must have a passport that is valid for at least six months. Visitors from the UK, the US, Canada, Australia and the EU can obtain a visa upon entering the country. Nationals of all the GCC countries do not require a visa. However, they must carry their National ID and passport with them. For other nationalities, visas may be obtained from the Kuwait Embassy located in their country or they could request the hotel when making the reservation for accommodation. Visas are normally valid for three months from the date of issue.

VISAS ON ARRIVAL

If you need a visa on arrival at the airport, do not head down to Arrivals, instead look for the “Visa Issuing” desks opposite the Dasman Lounge. You will be requested to have your passport copied where as well you can pick up the visa entry form and get a queue ticket. Ensure that you purchase the stamps (3 Kuwaiti Dinar) located in the visa issuing area. Payment is accepted only in Kuwaiti Dinar and exact amount will be required. Should you wish to exchange your Kuwaiti Dinar or exchange from other currencies there is a bank opposite the visa issuing place.

Your visa will be an A4-sized sheet, which you must keep during the time of your stay. The visa will be given back to the immigration upon departure.
